Hello and welcome to my page, I am Lorna and I have thirty years of experience in fine art. I am currently studying textiles with OCA and I am on my last module. My textile practice explores the interaction of shape colour and pattern. I enjoy blending traditional craftsmanship with interesting materials, to create surface prints that give a vibrant and happy feeling of joy, whether worn on a fashion garment or used to decorate a home with wallpaper, soft furnishings, or prints. My pieces are statements, well-crafted works of art that add a contemporary feeling to any fashion garment or home. My main purpose is to enjoy the process and hopefully transmit joy to the observer or owner of my work. My work has been described as Maximalist, vibrant and at times… a little bit bonkers!
